Welcome to Appleton Public Montessori
Appleton Public Montessori (APM) is located at 1545 East Broadway Drive, Appleton, WI 54913. We are a charter school within the Appleton Area School District. Our school was started in 2005 to fill a need in the community for an authentic Montessori Elementary School. We started with two classrooms and have grown over the years to have five classrooms.
What is an authentic Montessori education?
The Montessori method is a child centered approach utilizing multi-aged classrooms. Each of our rooms offer a prepared environment with specific, hands on, sequential materials. Each child contributes to their learning or work plan by selecting work and concentrating on it for up to three hours during work time. Our students programing also includes Spanish, performing and visual arts and physical and environmental education. We have many goals for the children at APM, but most of all we hope they “learn to love to learn.”
Camp APM – APM’s all-new optional summer program!
Good news! There are still some spots available for Camp APM, our school’s fun and flexible summer program for E1 and E2. Students can attend the June session, or the August session, or both. We have AM and PM options, too. The morning camp is sponsored by AASD, and we created an afternoon camp as well. Students can sign up for any session or afternoon class individually, or combine them.
If you have friends outside the APM community, please share this information with them. Camp APM is open to all students entering 1st-6th grade, regardless of which school they attend.
